I am the owner and clinical physical therapist. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in human movement studies in 2003. I then continued on to the University of the Pacific where I finished my doctoral degree in physical therapy in 2007. My focus is outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, specializing in the treatment of a wide variety of injuries and surgeries. I have extensive and ongoing training in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. I have my certification in Integrated Manual Therapy (CIMT) with Great Lake Seminars and Functional Manual Reaction (FMR) through the Gray Institute. I have done a long residency to become Fellows of Applied Functional Science (FAFS). I am a golf professional specialist through the Gray Institute® and Nike Golf®. I am also a Certified Clinical Instructor for the American Physical Therapy Association. I have a passion to help people feel better and become more active.
PT, DPTJaqueline graduated from the University of Nevada Reno in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. She then continued on to Northern Arizona University where she received her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Jaqueline is a native to Minden and worked as an aide at Great Basin before she left for physical therapy school. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve their goals and is currently working on her Certification in Applied Functional Science.
PT, DPT, ATC, LATNative of Arizona, Danielle attended Northern Arizona University for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and became a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) in 2011. In May of 2014, she completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) becoming a licensed physical therapist (PT). Danielle’s experiences encompass the sports-medicine arena from high school, to community college, to Division 1 athletics, skilled nursing physical therapy, and most prominently outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. Her focus is on improving her patient’s quality of life and helping them reach their goals through a balance of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. Danielle strives to never stop learning and is currently seeking greater knowledge in various manual techniques and functional movements.
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)Monica went back to school to receive her Physical Therapy Assistant degree after 10 years of working in acute care facilities as a Medical Imaging Technologist. Monica enjoys being part of a team involved in getting our community healthy, but felt she wanted to focus her career on improving people’s quality of life rather than just prolonging length of life. With her degree as a PTA, her goal is to help return people to a life they are passionate about.
Physical Therapy TechTanner graduated from Douglas High School. At this time is attending Western Nevada College and plans to transfer to Sacramento City College to finish is associated degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Tanner has a passion for strength and conditioning.
Physical Therapy TechHillary is a transfer student from Brigham Young University as a Biology Major. She is currently attending school at the University of Nevada, Reno, to complete the Biotechnology BS/MS program in hopes to continue working in the medical field. Hillary has a passion for helping others and, in her spare time, she enjoys hiking outdoors, running and exhibiting her show dogs across the West coast.
Physical Therapy TechHannah graduated from St. Edwards University with a BS in Environmental Science and Policy. Hannah enjoys living an active lifestyle, which is what drew her to Physical Therapy. Hannah plans to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy in the near future.
Physical Therapy TechChristine attended the University of Massachusetts where she received her BS in Exercise and Health Science while playing volleyball for the university. Christine is working towards going back to school to earn her degree in Physical Therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys running, playing volleyball and spending time outside.
ReceptionistAlyssa is our office manager and front receptionist. She has been with Great Basin Physical Therapy for 3 years. Alyssa will be happy to assist you when you call for an appointment or have any questions and will see to your needs when you visit our office.
Golden RetrieverKaiser is our resident therapy dog who will be happy to greet you at the door. Give her a pet and she’ll treat you like part of our family.
